Nigerian gospel artist Theophilus Sunday announced his engagement on Instagram, posting stunning photos of himself and his wife dressed in white.

He captioned it, “As It pleases the Lord.”

He further tagged his wife, whose name is Ashley White. However, while there have been lots of celebratory comments on his page, some other netizens have also pointed out the fact that his wife is Jamaican.

They could not help but compare his wife to Moses Bliss’s wife, who is from Ghana. They revealed that Nigerian men were now going outside of Nigeria to look for ladies to marry.

They also questioned him about going to marry a Jamaican woman.

One particular netizen known as Raleigh Love had this to say,

“Why are our men leaving us? Wetin happens to Naija girls.”
Another netizen known as Grace Aisha had this to say,

“They keep finding love outside Nigeria. This is a sign for me to leave this Naija.”

Another netizen known as Obi Obaino had this to say,

“The men are boycotting our Naija women. Something is definitely wrong somewhere.”

Another netizen known as Doing Jesus had this to say,

“My heart has officially shattered. This was my crush.”

Another netizen known as Benny Gold had this to say,

“Now what? Una no de marry Nigerian girls?”

Another netizen had this to say,

“Look at how Nigerian men are leaving to find another love.”

Another netizen known as Wells Fargo had this to say, “Baba enter Jamaica, go carry balanced diet.”
