Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice, has revealed why he chose to join the Gunners instead of Manchester City last summer.
Rice was highly sought after after announcing his departure from West Ham.
Despite the opportunity to play alongside Rodri for Pep Guardiola’s team, he ultimately decided to sign for Arsenal.
“This project seemed more exciting and that’s why I chose to come to Arsenal, because I believe we’re on to big things here,” Rice told The Athletic.
The 25-year-old made the move for a record-breaking fee of £105m, making him the most expensive British footballer in history.
Under the management of Mikel Arteta, Rice has excelled and scored six Premier League goals in his most productive campaign yet.
