Nigerian music legend D’banj has publicly acknowledged the songwriting talents of Peruzzi, hailing him as “one of the best” in the country’s music scene.

During a recent interview with TVC, D’banj sheds light on the creative process behind Since ’04, a song celebrating his two decades in the music industry. This revelation coincides with his praise for an impressive team behind the single.

He shared that the track’s melody and lyrics were a collaborative effort between himself, Peruzzi, Phyno, and Tekno. D’banj went on to express his excitement upon hearing the initial work they produced. He said “ahan, o make sense bayi” which means it was a good song.

The song was released in early May and has been doing well in its own right. Also, D’banj’s recognition of Peruzzi’s talent speaks volumes about the latter’s growing influence in the industry.
