The Zamfara State Government has approved the immediate reopening of the Magami and Danjibga cattle markets in Gusau and Tsafe local government areas of the State.

A statement issued by the State Commissioner of Information, Munnir Mu’azu Hidara said that the reopening of the two markets takes effect from Wednesday 3rd July, 2024, following the recent improvement on security situation in the areas.

“In view of this development therefore, the State government is hereby directing the leadership of the affected cattle markets to take note and further monitor the activities of the cattle marketers to ensure proper conduct of the business activities in the areas.

“Similarly, the state government also wishes to categorically inform the cattle markets in the affected markets to abide by the law as any form of breach of conduct in the business may attract the closure of these cattle markets immediately,” the statement said.
