4-2-3-1: this youthful, explosive United side will crush Liverpool's title chances today

Manchester United’s injury woes are still in full force as Erik ten Hag’s men head into today’s Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Although the club has not definitively ruled out the chance of either Jonny Evans or Raphael Varane being available for the game, the word on the street is that Harry Maguire and Willy Kambwala are the only two fit centre backs in the squad.

Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are definitely out.

Andre Onana should continue in goal.

Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will almost certainly play in the full back roles although a call-up to first team training for 17-year-old Harry Amass could signal a surprise debut in that position.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are long-term absentees.

Casemiro is a doubt in midfield, having taken a knock against Chelsea on Thursday, and Kobbie Mainoo has started to look tired in the last couple of games. We have predicted that they will both start, but there could easily be a change, with Scott McTominay, Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat all hungry for minutes.

Mount could also feature higher up the pitch as he continues to get game time under his belt after a long injury layoff. His two cameos against Brentford and Chelsea were both impressive.

A big question in attack is whether Marcus Rashford will be recalled after being rested against the Blues. Antony played in his place and acquitted himself very well despite conceding a penalty.

Ten Hag singled out Antony for praise after the Chelsea match, whilst Rashford looked disinterested and poor when coming on as sub.

For those reasons, we think Antony might just edge it again, with Alejandro Garnacho playing on the left wing.

Amad is also an option for the wings but Ten Hag seems very reluctant to give the Ivorian a decent amount of game time.

Bruno Fernandes will doubtlessly play in the number 10 position and Rasmus Hojlund is pretty much Hobson’s choice up front in the continued absence of Anthony Martial.

With all that in mind, here is our predicted line-up for today’s 3.30pm kick off at Old Trafford:
