4th February – Footballing Birthdays

The late Kevin Campbell would have celebrated his 54th birthday today. Campbell rose through the ranks at Arsenal and made his debut for The Gunners in 1988.
He spent time on loan at both Leyton Orient and Leicester City before becoming a first-team regular in 1990/91.
Campbell won the First Division championship in his first full season at Arsenal and followed this up two years later with both the League and FA Cup. The Cup Winners Cup was won the next season, but Campbell was finding first-team opportunities hard to come by and moved to Nottingham Forest.
He left Forest for Turkish club Trabsonspor in 1998, but was back to England first on loan at Everton, before making the move permanent shortly after.
He later played for West Bromwich Albion before ending his career at Cardiff City. Campbell sadly passed away last year at the age of 54.

Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund is 22 today. The Dane joined United in 2023 from Italian club Atalanta for £64 million and won the FA Cup in his first season at Old Trafford.
Prior to playing for Atalanta, Hojlund started his career at FC Copenhagen before signing for Austrian side Sturm Graz. He has currently won 22 caps for his home country and scored seven goals.
