Manchester United defender, Lisandro Martinez has given an update on his surgery following the injury he suffered against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old was due for surgery last week Thursday, February 13, 2025, which has now been completed. Lisandro Martinez shared an emotional message after the process where he thanked everyone who stood by him throughout the process from his family to his teammates, alongside Manchester United and the Argentina Federation.
He said,
“Today, after going through several stormy days where I allowed myself to feel and accept my sadness, helplessness, insecurities, fears, and a deep emotional imbalance, I am reconnecting with my essence and my values, which help me see things from a kinder and more positive perspective. I feel immense gratitude for the incredible work and support of Man United, Argentina federation, my family, friends, teammates, and everyone who took the time to send me a message of encouragement. The surgery went perfectly! Now it’s time to give it my all, with heart and soul, in the rehabilitation process.”
Manchester United have suffered both on and off the field with players getting injured and results also not going their way for most of the 2024/25 season. Amad Diallo is the latest player on the Red Devils injury list, the Ivorian forward player has also been ruled out of the season after he picked up an injury in training during the week.
It is now yet to be seen how Ruben Amorim will be able to tweak his team around in a way that can bring victories their way going into the rest of the season.
