The first club to relegate in the premier league has been confirmed following the game week 35 fixtures which commenced today.

Following a devastating 5-1 defeat in the hands of Newcastle United, the newly promoted Sheffield United have been confirmed to be the first team to sink into the relegation water in the Premier League this season.

Sheffield United have taken just 16 points in the 2023/2024 Premier League season winning just three of all the 34 fixtures played by the club this season.

This was also confirmed by the Premier League in an official announcement on their social media X formerly called Twitter, that read, “Following their defeat to Newcastle, Sheffield Utd are relegated pending Everton and Nott’m Forest’s points-deduction appeals.”
