Saudi Crown Prince postpones his trip to Japan

The postponement is due to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz being admitted to treatment for a lung condition.

  • will undergo a treatment programme at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah for a lung inflammation
  • state news agency said the 88-year-old king would be treated with antibiotics until the inflammation subsides

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was due in Japan from May 20 to May 23. He was to meet with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Japan is a huge importer of oil.
