The uncertain future of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United could leave the club searching for their sixth permanent manager in just over a decade.
Since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, a number of world-class coaches have come and gone at Old Trafford over a chaotic ten year period that has left United languishing behind the leading lights in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho was arguably the most famous to take the hot seat at United, with the serial winner promising big things.
However, despite a Europa League and Carabao Cup triumph, the Special One ultimately failed to deliver at the top level and was relieved of his duties midway through his third season.
Since then Mourinho has gone on to manage Tottenham Hotspur and Roma before losing his job in the Eternal City earlier this year.
Rumours of a return to the Premier League were touted with the Portuguese throwing his hat in the ring for a return to United, should the axe fall on Ten Hag.
However, it now appears that the 61-year-old has accepted a challenge in one of the few countries where he has not managed before.
Football expert Gianluca Di Marzio has announced Mourinho has agreed to become the new head coach of Turkish giants, Fenerbahce on a two year deal.

Mourinho will join a side who somehow missed out on claiming the league title last time out, finishing behind Galatasaray despite amassing an incredible 99 points.
No doubt the former United boss will be relishing the challenge of getting the team over the line next season with his personality and experience.
Back at United, Ten Hag and his coaching staff are nervously awaiting the outcome of INEOS’ end-of-season review which will determine whether or not the Dutchman keeps his job in Manchester, or not.
An announcement is expected from the club some time next week.
