The major indices are higher in early US trade. After the close AMD, Microsoft, Starbucks, and Pinterest report earnings. Microsoft shares are trading up $2.15 or 0.50% in early trading.
A snapshot of the market 12 minutes into the open is showing:
- Dow Industrial Average average is up 159.13 points or 0.39% at 40699.07
- S&P index is up 24.31 points or 0.44% at 5487.66.
- NASDAQ index is up 86.05 points or 0.50% at 17456.25
The small-cap Russell 2000 is also higher by 18.80 points or 0.84% at 2254.13.
Taking a look at the US debt market:
- 2-year yield 4.381%, -0.6 basis points
- 5-year yield 4.057%, -1.3 basis points
- 10 year yield 4.162%, -1.5 basis points
- 30-year yield 4.413%, -2.0 basis points
Crude oil is lower by $0.88 at $74.94, that is the lowest level since June 6. Gold is up around $10 or 0.41% or $2393.34. Bitcoin traded above $70,000 yesterday. It traded below $66,000 today to $65,867. It currently trades at $66,486.
