As we begin the 2024/25 Premier League season aside from which team will emerge as Champions, the other question on every football fan’s mind is: Who will be win the league’s golden boot award?
The Premier League has a rich history of producing prolific goal-scorers, from Alan Shearer to Thierry Henry, and in recent years, the likes of Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, and Erling Haaland have battled it out for the top spot.
As the season kicks off, the race for the Golden Boot is wide open, and it’s impossible to predict with certainty who will come out as the highest goal-scorer. But one thing is for sure, it’s going to be an exciting ride, full of twists and turns, and we can’t wait to see who will be crowned the highest goal scorer in the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Here are the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot award
Erling Haaland: Manchester City’s star player and winner of the last two Golden Boot awards he is also a contender for the award this season but the third time in a row.
Mohamed Salah: The Egyptian King has always been one of the top candidates to win the award before the arrival of Erling Haaland. However, this season, Salah will be looking to reclaim the award from the Norwegian.
Bukayo Saka: Saka is one of the most consistent Arsenal players in the past couple of seasons. He has also been around the conservation of who will emerge as the highest goalscorer in the league.
Heung-min Son: Tottenham’s skilled attacking player, who will be aiming to outscore his rivals and take the Golden Boot.
Cole Palmer: Chelsea’s Player is the best player of the 2023 play. He showed impressive form last season and will be looking to build on that this season.
Ollie Watkins: Aston Villa’s striker was one of the players who pushed Erling Haaland for the award. He will be hoping to do better this season by winning the award
Alexander Isak: Newcastle’s talisman has always given a lot to the club whenever he is called upon by Eddie Howe. The Swedish international will hope that he remains fit all season as he challenges for the Golden Boot.
Phil Foden: Manchester City’s midfielder scored a lot of goals for the Cityzens last season. He will be hoping that he can replicate the same performance this season to make a strong claim for the award.
