Drake calls out fake friends amid Kendrick Lamar feud

During a recent nightclub appearance in Toronto, Drake warned about fake friends who may betray you, amidst his ongoing feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

“My real friends, are definitely in the building,” he said, according to a video posted to Instagram. “But I’m going to tell you, you’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back. They might do a lot of things to you.”

The 37-year-old continued, telling the crowd, “You’ll come to that realisation, wherever you’re at in life. You’ve probably been there and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. Sometimes it’s you and you alone by yourself.”

The Hotline Bling singer abruptly ended his speech by playing Beyoncé’s hit song “Me, Myself and I.”

The feud between Kendrick and Drake escalated this year with diss tracks being exchanged between the two, ultimately culminating in Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” and Drake’s “The Heart Part 6.”

Rumors also circulated that Drake was attempting to prevent Kendrick from performing at the 2025 Super Bowl, but a representative for Drake denied these claims as “completely false.”

Not Like Us, in which Kendrick accuses Drake of paedophilia and sexual misconduct, became the biggest hit of the diss track series and topped the Billboard singles chart.
