The Afrobeats superstar has confirmed the release date that has been circulating for his sixth studio album.
Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, popularly known as Wizkid, has officially confirmed the release date of his highly anticipated new album Morayo.
The album, eagerly awaited by fans and music enthusiasts alike, offered a taste of what’s to come when Wizkid dropped a silky R&B record titled Piece of My Heart on Friday, October 18th, 2024, which features American soul singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz.
Shortly after the song’s release, American media giant Billboard, while announcing the track, also revealed that the album Morayo would be released on November 22, 2024. Although nothing was officially said by Wizkid’s camp at the time, the unofficial release date had been circulating widely.

Taking to his Instagram on Friday, October 18th, 2024, Wizkid confirmed that the album will indeed drop on November 22, 2024. Known for sometimes missing his announced release dates, this confirmation carried more weight, especially with the pre-save link that accompanied the post, signalling that the project has already been distributed.
The singer also shared a short snippet from the album, featuring richly infused traditional sounds, suggesting that the project will have something for everyone. He captioned the post:
