Australian inflation data – what could drive a December Reserve Bank of Australia rate cut

Oliver says there is still a prospect of a December 2024 rate cut from the RBA:

Oliver’s ‘base case’ is for a February 2025 rate cut from the Reserve Bank of Australia, not December. But it never hurts to take a close look at the data and plot out a scenario or two.
