Bitfinex Securities Launches Express Onboarding for Salvadoran Residents

San Salvador, El Salvador, November 21, 2024 – Bitfinex Securities El Salvador S.A. de C.V., a regulated platform that enables entities to raise capital through the listing of tokenised securities, announces that it has enabled express onboarding for Salvadoran citizens who are resident in El Salvador. 

The streamlined onboarding process will enable Salvadoran residents to access capital raise opportunities and trading via Bitfinex Securities’ El Salvador-regulated entity more efficiently, while ensuring compliance with regulatory KYC requirements. 

Salvadorans will now only need an official El Salvador photo ID, a tax ID number, a biometric photo, a residence address and a phone number to open a Bitfinex Securities El Salvador account.

El Salvador passed its groundbreaking Digital Asset Issuance Law in January 2023 to foster financial innovation and growth. In April 2023, Bitfinex Securities became the world’s first international digital asset platform to be licensed as a Digital Asset Service Provider under this framework. It has since worked closely with El Salvador’s regulators to drive new issuances.
