Manchester United Top Target Revealed After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Sack

Manchester United are seeking to bolster their goal-scoring capabilities under the new leadership of coach Ruben Amorim, with two prominent strikers from Nigeria listed on their wishlist.

Manchester United have faced challenges in front of goal this season, managing to score only 13 times in their first 12 Premier League matches.

According to Sky Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen have emerged as the top candidates for a potential transfer to Old Trafford.

Marmoush has demonstrated impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals in as many Bundesliga appearances, and he is expected to be available for around £50 million.

On the other hand, Osimhen who is currently on loan at Galatasaray after expressing a desire to leave Napoli, has a £63 million release clause and has netted eight goals in 10 games this term.

Other potential options for United include Randal Kolo Muani and Super Eagles’ Victor Boniface, who are viewed as outside contenders.

Kolo Muani, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for £77 million last year, has had limited game time with only two starts this season, leading the club to consider a loan or outright sale. Boniface, on the other hand, has been in fine form, scoring eight goals in 15 matches this season. Recall that he contributed significantly to Bayer Leverkusen’s success last season.

Manchester United’s forwards have struggled for consistency, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring just twice following an injury-plagued start, while Joshua Zirkzee is yet to add to his debut goal after 18 appearances since joining from Bologna for £36.5 million.

Meanwhile, Juventus are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli, as highlighted by Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano. This interest from the Turin club aligns with their need for a new first-choice striker, especially with current forward Dusan Vlahovic’s future being uncertain.

Osimhen’s exceptional performance at Galatasaray, where he has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 10 games this season, has heightened interest from various clubs. However, Napoli’s valuation of Osimhen is significant, as they are seeking between €60 and €70 million and prefer a straightforward sale to a swap deal.
