Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, also known as Blaqbonez, recently stated that he believes he is 50 times more popular than Grammy-nominated singer Asake.

This claim came after a tweet from Asake in 2019 resurfaced, where he asked Blaqbonez to follow him back when he was still an up-and-coming artist.

In response to a user’s comment ranking Asake higher than him, Blaqbonez disagreed, asserting that he is a much larger artist in comparison to Asake.

“Asake is big, but saying he’s bigger than Blaqbonez is pure comedy walai,” the fan wrote.

Blaqbonez concurred: “Like people are funny. I’m 50x bigger. I sold out the O2 Arena in 1 minute; it took him longer.”

Contrary to Blaqbonez’s claim, he hasn’t sold out the 02 Arena, while Asake has sold out the venue twice.
