Germany October industrial orders -1.5% vs -2.0% m/m expected

  • Prior +4.2%; revised to +7.2%

The surge in September owes to a reportedly large order in shipbuilding and that is now phased out somewhat for the October reading. So, that continues to explain the volatility seen in the last few months. Overall, domestic orders fell by 5.3% while international orders were seen up 0.8% in October.
