Arsenal’s Declan Rice is 26 today. The England international moved across London from West Ham United in the summer of 2023 after the two clubs agreed a fee of £100 million.
Rice spent seven seasons at West Ham before joining Arsenal, playing 245 times and scoring 15 goals. Since moving to the Emirates Stadium, he has made 77 appearances for Arsenal and found the back of the net nine times. He has also won 62 caps and scored eight goals for England since his first appearances for his country in 2019.
Today is former goalkeeper Victor Valdes‘ 43rd birthday. The Spaniard made his name at Barcelona where he spent twelve seasons, before joining Manchester United in the 2014/15 season.
Whilst at Barcelona, Valdes won the La Liga title on six occasions and the Champions League three times.
He later played on loan at Belgian side Standard Liege before ending his career at Middlesbrough. Valdes won 20 caps for Spain during his career.
Yohan Cabaye is 39 today. The Frenchman played for both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, for Lille, PSG and Saint-Etienne in his country and also spent time in Dubai with Al-Nasr.
The former midfielder won 48 caps for France, scoring four times.
Wes Foderingham celebrates his 34th birthday today. The goalkeeper is currently playing for West Ham United after joining the club on a free transfer last summer, but has yet to make a first-team appearance.
Foderingham has spent most of his career playing for England, but spent five years in Scotland playing for Glasgow Rangers.
Former Norwich City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion winger Ruel Fox is 57 today. Fox was voted into the Norwich City Hall of Fame by fans of the club in 2002.
