Arsecast Extra Episode 622 – 19.01.2025

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.

In this episode we look back at the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday evening. We discuss getting ourselves into a winning position thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, before letting it slip and allowing Villa back into it. There’s analysis of the goals we conceded and the defensive issues, including Thomas Partey at right-back and what other options Mikel Arteta might have had available to him. Then attention turns to what we had, or didn’t have on the bench, and how this result feels in the context of this season. We then have listener questions about the transfer market and the owners, signing a defender, what not winning might mean for Mikel Arteta among the fanbase, and lots more.
