Olamide and Odumodublvck, two prominent figures in the Nigerian hip-hop scene, have been at the center of a brewing debate.
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally known as Odumodublvck, has confidently asserted his rapping prowess in a recent interview on the Afrobeat podcast with Adesope.
The rapper, who has been making waves in the music industry, claimed that he has surpassed Olamide as Nigeria’s best hip-pop artist.
According to Odumodublvck, four years ago, Olamide was the best in the game, but since his emergence, the narrative has changed. He emphasized that anyone claiming to be the best rapper must have a body of work to back up their claims, specifically mentioning the need for an album.
During the interview, Odumodublvck also discussed his relationships with other industry colleagues. He revealed that he is not friends with Online Personality, Speed Darlington, but rather considers him his “spirit animal.”
Additionally, he shared a peculiar anecdote about meeting Burna Boy, claiming that he had previously met the Last Last crooner in a dream, where they both shared a meal of pounded yam.
