France December trade balance -€6.6 billion vs -€7.1 billion expected

The trade deficit narrowed slightly at the end of last year as exports fell by 0.4% while imports grew slightly by 0.1% on the month. Overall, the French trade balance stood at -€81.0 billion in 2024 and that’s a good progression after having touched a record deficit level of -€162.6 billion in 2022.
