Asanda Foji is breaking barriers by showing that it’s never too late to follow your passions. The actress, best known for her role in Generations, has ventured into the world of DJing under the stage name DJ Prayze.

Despite facing doubt about female DJs in the industry, Asanda Foji is committed to making her mark with a diverse music taste that includes Afro tech, Amapiano, and house.

The criticism and skepticism surrounding female DJs have not deterred Asanda Foji from pursuing her dreams. She remains determined to succeed.

“People will always have something to say, it’s important to do what you love at all times,” she said. “Do what brings you joy.”

Born in the 1980s, she firmly believes that age should never be a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams. For her, music and performance are deeply intertwined. “I am an actress, and music and performance are part of the arts,” she added.

While her journey in the entertainment world has had its challenges, including unexpected exits from projects, Asanda continues to push forward.

After a period living in the Netherlands and getting married in 2022, she remains focused on her acting career, auditioning for roles and sharing self-tapes online.

“Acting is a challenging industry and finding roles is not easy, but I’ve never given up,” she said.
