This will be related to the last time Trump tried to stick tariffs on Oz steel the OZ PM at the time (Turnbull) explained to him it would push up the price of steel in the US b/c its cheaper to ship OZ steel to the US than make it there in the US. This was during his first term. Let’s see how it goes this time around.
So far Albanese’s comments are giant bag of nothing much:
