German finance minister says debt brake reform is unrealistic in current parliament

Not a surprising comment given how the SPD was trounced. But I reckon even with the newly formed government coalition, it’s going to be tough to strike a compromise as well. I outlined the situation earlier here.

EUR/USD is now little changed on the day, keeping at 1.0470 – up by just 0.1%. The DAX is holding out hope though, still seen up 0.8% on the day currently after a brief dip in the opening hour.
