China – Tesla (TLSA) announced Autopilot functionality for urban roads

Tesla announced on Tuesday that it has released software updates for its Chinese customers.

The updates introduce Autopilot functionality for urban roads, enhancing the existing Navigate on Autopilot system. With this new feature, vehicles can handle exit ramps and intersections, detect traffic lights, and execute maneuvers such as driving straight, turning, or making U-turns.

Additionally, the system can automatically change lanes based on speed and route conditions.

If no specific navigation route is set, the vehicle will choose the optimal road based on real-time conditions.
