The increasingly heavier weight of Trump talk, deteriorating relationships across the globe combined with higher inflation expectations on tariffs, the uptick in inflation and weakening expectations from US consumers are certainly to blame for the selloff in equities – that boost appetite in bonds, considered to be a safer investment option.
