Arsecast Extra Episode 620 – 06.01.2025

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.

In this episode we look back at the 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday evening. A solid first half saw us go in 1-0 up at the break thanks to Ethan Nwaneri’s excellent goal, but a contentious second half penalty provided the home with the equaliser. We analyse the decision to award the spot kick, as well as what Arsenal did/didn’t do afterwards as a depleted squad struggled to find a winner. That leads to a big discussion about the January window in the context of our league position and the other competitions we’re in, as well as listener questions about the two cup ties we face this week, whether Arsenal are ‘boring’ this season, time-wasting and yellow cards, Dani Olmo’s situation, and lots more.
