Bitfinex Pay – Release V0.6.5

The Bitfinex Pay Merchant Dashboard is an internal tool designed to provide our Merchants with powerful reports and features to help them manage their Merchant crypto gateway.

We’re pleased to share the latest updates to Bitfinex Pay. For more on Bitfinex Pay, please refer to https://blog.bitfinex.com/category/bitfinex-pay/.

Merchant Dashboard

Improvements

  • Completely redesigned the Invoice Details -> Payments menu to clearly show received payment(s), moving the option to manually add a payment to its own section
  • Separated the flow of manually completing an invoice from adding a new payment. Before, if you wanted to manually complete an invoice, you always needed to add a new payment. Now, an invoice can be manually completed without the need to add a new payment as long as the invoice has at least one payment already associated
  • Added an amount filter to the Payments and Unlinked Deposits menus
  • Improved the confirmation modal shown when manually adding a payment to an invoice, showing relevant information on both the payment and invoice
  • Added a business option on the Manual Invoice Generator to correctly identify and store business information of end customer
  • The FIAT selector field for Manual Invoice Generator and POS Checkout creation is now wider to avoid showing currencies in two lines to cut off
  • Added translations for some missing texts in the Settings menu
  • Payments menu data can now be sorted by amount, associated order ID and date & hour
  • Different payments for the same invoice are now shown together in the Payments menu
  • Added an event in Invoices -> Invoice History for partial payments
  • Added a selected visual state when selecting predefined timeframes for date filtering in invoices, payments and auto-convert history menus
  • A few minor design improvements were added to the Wallets menu when a wallet has Auto-Convert enabled to make it easier to visually identify
  • Improved user-facing error text when creating a manual invoice with an invalid amount with Bitcoin Lightning selected as an accepted token
  • Added a button to disable all active auto-conversions in the wallets menu
  • Since Manual Payments done from a Bitfinex wallet are off-chain to make them faster and save on fees, the Payments menu will show “Off-chain transaction” text on “Transaction Hash” for this kind of payments
  • Improved responsive design for Invoices -> Invoice Details so it looks good from mobile and tablet devices
  • Adjusted the width of the Mark As… dropdown in Invoice Details so the text shows in one line for all languages
  • Replaced UST ticker with USDt in Auto-Convert CSV exports
  • Fee amount values are now always shown up to 8 decimals instead of the exponential formula in Auto-Convert CSV exports
  • Improved the design of the QR code modal when clicking on generate QR for Invoice in Invoice Details, as well as adding a short explainer text and a button to download the QR in an image format
  • Improved user-facing error text when trying to manually create an invoice for a customer who has reached their daily limit
  • Clicking the Invoice Successfully Created notification after manually creating an invoice now redirects to the Invoice Details menu of that new invoice
  • Minor design improvements to missing 2FA modal when a merchant tries to access the Merchant Dashboard without 2FA setup
  • Added a disclaimer to Manual Invoice Generator when selecting Bitcoin Lightning token as an accepted token for amounts higher than $1000 equivalent

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing wallets to not show the correct currency conversion until the page was refreshed after changing to a new FIAT in settings
  • Fixed an issue causing several rate limit errors to show when manually adding a payment to an invoice and selecting “I don’t know” when asked which token was used to complete the payment
  • Fixed unexpected scrolling behaviour when adding tokens in the Manual Invoice Generator modal
  • Fixed an issue causing the Unlinked Payments menu search to return multiple results unrelated to the search when searching by Deposit ID or Transaction Hash
  • Minor copy typo fixed on the list of FIAT currencies
  • Fixed an issue causing the newly added FIAT currencies (HNL and GTQ) to show at the bottom of the list of FIAT currencies instead of alphabetically
  • Fixed the copy of the error shown when trying to manually create an invoice with Bitcoin Lightning as an accepted token for more than 5 BTC equivalent

POS Web app

Improvements

  • Expanded the width of some buttons in the “Link with QR” flow to make sure buttons show all options in one line in all languages
  • Amounts added in POS invoices are now automatically formatted to easily read them
  • Standardised the amount format to be shown in the same way as eCommerce invoices (EUR instead of €, USD instead of $, etc.)

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue showing an incorrect QR code when clicking to expand the QR code in Bitcoin Lightning invoices
  • Fixed a minor typo showing in invoices created with the newly added FIAT currencies (HNL – Honduran Lempira and GTQ – Guatemalan quetzal)
