China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Australia next week for talks

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold talks with Australia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong in Canberra on Wednesday, March 20.

The visit comes as relations between the two countries warm up somewhat. China is in the process of removing tariffs on Australian wine, for example.

The talks will not only focus on economic issues such as trade barrier removal, but more sensitive issues like human rights and regional security.
