Claudio Ranieri jokes about FFP: “I’ll tell Friedkin to spend more so we don’t go to Europe.”

Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri was asked to clarify his position on the capital club’s finances.

In a recent press conference, Ranieri admitted that Roma are facing strict FFP restrictions which are limiting their capabilities on the market.

During an interview with Radio Rai earlier today, the veteran coach joked about it.

“I will tell the president to spend more money, to take a 3-4 year suspension, so we won’t go to Europe, we won’t go to the Champions League, and we will all be happy.”

Ranieri did not provide any further comments and abandoned the interview shortly after this comment.
