Claudio Ranieri on importance of victory over Braga: “This is a small start.”

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri was interviewed by the club shortly after the Giallorossi’s 3-0 win over Braga in the Europa League.

In his post-match reaction, Ranieri commented, “As I said during the press conference, for us this is a small start, a small path that we hope will lead to somewhere.”

“Let’s see what happens at the end of December and we can draw up a first balance, at least since I arrived.”

“For the moment we have collected two losses, one draw and two wins,” he continued.

“Tonight we played a good game, we had many shots on goal, we missed some goals, the goal difference was important tonight, but that’s okay, you can’t get everything right away.”

“Little by little we’ll be able to do some good things, I’m convinced of that.”

“Pellegrini? I’m super happy with Lorenzo, he needed this goal in front of his fans and I congratulate him because he really played a wonderful game.”

“Saud, seeing him in training, there were games that I wanted to put him in, but I didn’t want to run any additional risks.”

“I don’t think even his teammates knew how much speed this guy has, he is very disciplined and he will be a nice surprise for Roma.”
