A one-day conference featuring exhibits by Crothall Healthcare’s leading product suppliers is already significantly impacting some southern California hospitals.
Held in late September on the main campus of UCI Health in Orange, Calif., the Innovation Summit featured products from six companies that are key Crothall partners. Attendees of the event included Crothall representatives across four UCI hospitals, joined by health system leadership.
The goal of the Summit: Offer a space for physicians, infection control specialists and other hospital leaders to see first-hand how these products and new technology can help them improve patient care, enhance associate engagement and reduce costs.
“UCI Health is a very progressive health system and we’re always looking to demonstrate value to our hospital partners,” says Lisa Trombley, Division President for Crothall Healthcare. “The Innovation Summit was the perfect opportunity for them to meet one-on-one with each vendor to learn about new technologies and how it specifically applies to the workplace here at UCI.”
Those technology vendors included:
- Medama Floor Care Systems;
- San-I-Pak, which provides on-site treatment for infectious waste;
- Surfacide, a maker of UV-C disinfection equipment;
- AeroWest, a provider of odor control & scent marketing services; and
- iCleanse, a maker of mobile disinfection stations for mobile devices, including phones, iPads, laptops, and more.
Hospital officials who attended the event voiced their appreciation.
“The recent expo hosted by our Crothall Healthcare partners focused on EVS innovation that empowers both patients and care teams, blending technology with compassion for a better experience for all,” said Lauren Silva, Assistant Director of Support Services, UCI Health.
Crothall is committed to bringing innovation to its partners, as well as providing opportunities for them to engage with cutting-edge technologies and see up close how they enhance patient care and reduce costs.
Crothall leaders from other southern California hospitals attended the event and gained valuable information they intend to share with their partners.
Polly Peterson, Resident Regional Director of Operations for Long Beach Memorial Care and the Miller Women and Children’s Hospital, said the event provided two primary benefits.
“First, I learn about new products and technology I can present to my partners to help them improve patient care and reduce costs. Second, it helps me connect with the local representatives of our key vendors who can help me understand the value of their products.”
Events like the Innovation Summit at UCI Health reflect the team’s commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration, ensuring that they and their partners remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
