DaBaby wishes to spin the block on his previous collaborator Megan Thee Stallion and bring GloRilla along for the voyage. He recently discussed the possibility of visualizing a work with female rappers.
During an appearance on ‘Drink Champs’ earlier this month, DaBaby revealed that he is entirely in love with Megan Thee Stallion. The conversation began after the podcast hosts asked him to choose between Meg and Glo. He selected both.
“Matter fact, imma do both. Shoutout to Meg and Glo. Imma do. Yeah I’m a great n***a man, I got love Megan man. Me and Meg did some dope sh*t together and it’s good to see her rise amongst the obstacles.”
Additionally, he said that he and GloRilla are overdue for a first-time collab. between Also, DaBaby later delivered a “sincere” message about why and how Megan should pop back out together.
“I think that’s the way me and Meg should pop back out,” DaBaby said, after saying he wants a song with her and GloRilla. “I feel like ain’t none of these n****s, and ain’t no disrespect, that y’all making music with can really embody that and bring different…Like you gotta come get this sh*t from Baby, like y’all know. But I say both of them.”
On Friday (Oct. 25), DaBaby addressed why he selected both Megan and GloRilla as female rappers he’d like to work with. He stated that he’s done being baited “into the b*llsh*t and has let “controversy and violence” cost him. “Them days of baiting me into the bullsh*t OVER WIT. I ain’t got nothing for ya but good music and entertainment. Controversy & violence done cost me enough,” he wrote.
In another X post, he quoted the circulating ‘Drink Champs’ video and reiterated that it’s all love on his end.
“I understand your perspective but honestly I just wanted to avoid putting one of the ladies above the other and give love & respect to both of em. I know the drama n sh*t more entertaining, but I done learned that if ima say anything ima make sure it’s sumn positive. Don’t overthink it world.”
