Davido headlines Warri Again show, buries hatchet with Amaju Pinnick

Nigerian music icon, Davido, performed at the 2024 Warri Again comedy and music show, marking a significant reconciliation with businessman and former NFF President, Amaju Pinnick.

The two had previously been embroiled in a highly publicized dispute in 2023, with Amaju Pinnick suing Davido for 2 billion naira over his failure to perform at the Warri Again event. However, they later settled out of court.

Davido’s headlining performance at this year’s show, held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, signaled a newfound understanding between the parties. Notably, Davido had invited Pinnick and his wife to his high-profile wedding earlier this year.

The event featured standout performances from comedians like De Stalker and musicians including Oritsefemi, Odumodublvck, Fave, Shallipopi, and Phyno.

Davido closed the show with hits like Unavailable from his Grammy-nominated album Timeless. This performance follows his recent launch of an athleisure collection and sneakers with Puma.

The singer is set to end 2024 on a high note with his collaboration with Jamaican artist YG Marley.
