EMPIRE & Dapper Music score highest music streams in Nigeria for 2024 so far

From Q1 to Q3 of 2024, Nigeria’s music industry witnessed impressive streaming milestones, including a billion-stream benchmark reached by a Nigerian-owned music imprint.

As the year approaches its close, data is emerging on the performance of music labels in Nigeria, with EMPIRE Music and Dapper Music standing out for their notable success so far in 2024. According to TurnTable Charts, Nigeria’s leading music data company, top labels like EMPIRE, Virgin Music, Dapper Music, YBNL Nation, Mavin Records, and others have recorded exceptional streaming numbers.

In an October 30th, 2024 publication, Nigerian music data comapany, TurnTable Charts, revealed that major releases by street-hop artiste Seyi Vibez and his Vibez Inc signees—Tml Vibez, Muyeez, Billion Solar, and Nerrycole—helped boost Dapper Music’s market share, elevating it above other Nigerian imprints like YBNL Nation and Mavin Records. Virgin Music (partnering with Dapper Music) and EMPIRE (partnering with YBNL) each surpassed one billion on-demand streams across five major platforms by the third quarter of 2024.
