EPL: Andre Onana issues warning to Man Utd fans

Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has cautioned fans that he will be more daring in his approach this season.

Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, brought Andre Onana in last summer to replace David De Gea.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper was chosen for his capacity to play more aggressively, including passing from the back, stepping out of his box, and moving beyond his penalty area.

Onana had a rough start, getting scored on from the halfway line during his debut match against Lens, but he quickly adapted and ended up playing in nearly all of United’s 54 games.

Ahead of his season campaign, Onana said: “I think it’s what you’re going to see this season because I will take a lot of risks.

“I can tell you in advance already! Be prepared because it’s going be (like that) this season, trust me! I will enjoy it even more when this season starts.

“The best team in the world takes risks. Building from the back, recognizing things, situations, when the opponent jumps one against one or when they press with three or with four.”
