European equities down at the open as risk mood stays sluggish

It is a check back for European indices after having pushed back up to record highs earlier this month. The CAC 40 is now down to a three-week low with its monthly gains nearly erased now. US futures are also under pressure so far today, with S&P 500 futures down 0.4% currently.
