European equities in a more mixed mood to start the day

  • Eurostoxx -0.1%
  • Germany DAX +0.2%
  • France CAC 40 flat
  • UK FTSE +0.1%
  • Spain IBEX -0.6%
  • Italy FTSE MIB +0.1%

For the most part, the changes are relatively light as the overall mood is rather tepid at the moment. S&P 500 futures are down 0.1% on the day currently. In Spain, the second largest financial institution, BBVA, announced a $13 billion hostile takeover offer for rival Sabadell.
