Eurozone January Sentix investor confidence -17.7 vs -18.0 expected

Despite being a little better than estimated, the reading is the lowest since November 2023. Euro area investor morale continues to stay more subdued upon the turn of the year with Germany being the biggest cause of concern. Sentix notes that “the economic engine is threatening to freeze up for the long-term” as Germany is “hanging on to the Eurozone like a lead weight”.
