Ex-Roma man Diego Perotti discusses Dybala’s importance, Paredes’ progress under De Rossi

Former Roma attacker Diego Perotti discussed various topics concerning the Giallorossi’s season.

During today’s World Legends Padel Tour, Perotti spoke to reporters about Paulo Dybala’s importance to the team, his former teammate’s, Leandro Paredes’, season and more.

“Paredes? The season has been very positive for him, I told him that a little while ago. For me it is a great pride that Roma has world champion players like him and Dybala. As an Argentine, I have a lot of pleasure in seeing them represent this club.”

“I have known Leandro since our days at Roma, since he was very young and it was clear that he would do well in his career. I wasn’t surprised by his level, and the penalties he took at Leverkusen.”

“Both Dybala and Paredes are experienced players and Roma must certainly keep them, must focus on them. I’m sure that Daniele [De Rossi] will do much better next year starting from the beginning of the season.”

“Dybala Paulo doesn’t have to prove anything and it’s normal that he’s got many clubs interested in him. He is a player who makes the difference. As a fan, I hope he stays in Rome. It makes me very happy to see him wear the Roma shirt and I think he can still give a lot to the team, then sometimes the choices don’t just depend on the player.”
