Less than four months after undergoing a heart operation, former Roma manager Zdenek Zeman expressed his desire to return to coaching.
Speaking at a medical conference at the Hotel Esplanade di Pescara, the 77 year-old confessed he’s eager to be back on the bench, admitting his brief return with Pescara in Serie C didn’t go according to plan.
“I’m feeling much better, bit by bit I’m improving,” Zeman told attendees. “I want to get back to doing what I love, which is coaching.”
“Ultimately, my latest adventure with Pescara was a disappointment for me, I thought it’d end better. During my time there, we were never managed to impose ourselves and play the way we wanted.”
Adding, “We had six or seven good games to start, but after that I was very disappointed.”
