French stocks hit the lowest since January with voting set for Sunday

French stocks are trading at the lowest since January and are down year-to-date. They’re off 0.85% and at the lows of the day.

The first round of the French vote is on Sunday and the second round is July 7. The polls show Marine Le Pen’s party getting about 36% of the vote in the first round.

Politics is certainly the flavour of the day in global markets.
