Referee designator and head of AIA Gianluca Rocchi was critical of the performance of Italian officials in the latest Serie A matchday.
In addition to his comments regarding episodes in Juventus-Cagliari, Rocchi also mentioned the incident in Monza-Roma which saw Tommaso Baldanzi go down in Monza’s penalty area with a clear foul that was not called.
“Baldanzi? If the VAR considers it a foul, it should be called because it’s a penalty,” Rocchi told Sky Sport.
“It’s not that we are the law written on the wall, we might have made a mistake in this particular instance.”
