Heads up: French president Macron set to speak later today

The presser was supposed to be scheduled for Tuesday but he needed more time to prepare his words following the events over the weekend. There were murmurs about a potential resignation announcement yesterday but that has since been refuted. So, that is not likely to be on the cards for today at least.

Considering that there isn’t much else on the agenda in European morning trade today, this will be one to keep your eyes and ears out for. Any surprising remarks could have an impact on the euro and regional bonds.
