ICYMI – Taiwan says China seizes fishing boat near Chinese coast
globalreutersJuly 3, 20241 Mins read - Taiwan said the Chinese coast guard boarded a Taiwanese fishing boat Tuesday before steering it to a port in mainland China, and demanded that Beijing release the vessel.

- vessel was just over 20 kilometers (12 miles) away from Jinjiang in mainland China when it was boarded, Taiwanese authorities said.
China views democratically governed Taiwan as its own territory.
