Manchester United’s disappointing campaign has left manager Erik ten Hag fighting for his position at Old Trafford.
With INOES gaining control of the club’s sporting structure, United’s poor form has led to plenty of rumours that the new minority owners will be making a change come the end of the season.
Plenty of top names have been linked with the post should United choose to replace Ten Hag but one of the most popular choices has now been ruled out of the race.
As reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, German coach Julian Nagelsmann will not be United’s manager next season.
Nagelsmann on signing new deal until World Cup 2026: “This is a decision of the heart. It is a great honour to be able to coach the national team and work with the best players in the country”.

The 36-year-old is set to sign a new contract with the German national side that will now run until 2026 calling it “a decision from the heart”.
Nagelsmann looked open to leaving his post with Germany and held talks with Bayern Munich for a surprise return to the club after being sacked last season.
However, no deal was struck and the talented coach will now lead his nation in the upcoming European Championships and beyond till the 2026 World Cup.
The decision means Bayern’s search for a new manager continues and with Barcelona and Liverpool also in the market for a new head coach, the pool of potential suitors for top clubs is dwindling.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag remains in the hot seat at Old Trafford but will be acutely aware of the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.
United will not qualify for next season’s Champions League and an embarrassing Premier League finish is also on the cards, which might go against the Dutchman.
Injuries have plagued Ten Hag’s second season in charge but the team have no doubt regressed with the manager’s style of play receiving intense criticism throughout the season.
However, United do remain in the FA Cup and are hot favourites to reach back-to-back finals in the competition, facing Coventry City in the semi-final on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see what INEOS decide now that Nagelsmann is also out of the fray and especially if Ten Hag manages to win the trophy.
