Jagun-Jagun won ahead of CJ Obasi’s Mami-Wata, and Ghanian film, Nana Aloro to claim the best indigenous language film, West African.

Taking to “X” the AMVCA posted a congratulatory message to the actor.

“The #AMVCA10 Best Indigenous Language (West Africa) goes to @realfemiadebayo ‘Jagun Jagun’!

We celebrate his captivating showcase of the beauty of indigenous language and heritage. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement

Meanwhile, Layi Wasabi also won the best Digital Content Creator at the ceremony and in his first attempt.

Recall the organisers had earlier called for entries from January 15, 2024, to February 14, 2024, inviting filmmakers from across Africa, whose productions had been publicly exhibited or broadcast from December 1, 2022, till Dec. 31, 2023, to put in their work for possible nominations.

The 10th edition of AMVCA is brought to viewers by Africa Magic in partnership with Amstel Malta as the lead sponsor. Other sponsors include Pepsi, Promasidor and Martell, as well as Tecno, Verve, QuickTeller, Tiger Beer, MTN and Indomie.

The award show is scheduled for the 11th of May with a live broadcast across all Africa Magic Channels on DStv and GOtv.
