Japan data – June exports +5.4% y/y (expected 6.4%) & imports +3.2% y/y (expected 9.3%)

Rising exports and rising imports but not by as much as was expected, and not as much as in May.

Exports to:

  • China +7.2% y/y
  • the EU -13.4% y/y
  • the US +11% y/y

USD/JPY has been heavy on the session:
